“ My primary goal as a piano teacher is not only students learn technical skills but also dig into composers’ era, background and composition styles such as Bach, Haydn, Beethoven and Schumann. The more you know about the composer and the period, the more your performance gets closer to the music itself.
It is also important to explore contemporary music with the students so as to broaden their palette of sounds and textures. I believe it is important for me as a teacher to discover how a student learns best. No matter the age, we are all unique learners and it is important for me to meet the student where they are. ”

Music in Senior Living Communities
Through our community project, Music as a Healing Art, we bring joy and music to local senior living each March and September, alongside our biannual recitals, Ode to Summer and Ode to Winter, held every June and December.

Our curriculum includes not only solo piano but also four-hand duets and two-piano pieces, where children learn to listen, cooperate, and share responsibilities to create beautiful music together.
