The more you know about the composer and the period, the more your performance gets closer to the music itself.

         It is also important to explore contemporary music with the students so as to broaden their palette of sounds and textures. I believe it is important for me as a teacher to discover how a student learns best. No matter the age, we are all unique learners and it is important for me to meet the student where they are. ”
